Title-- Children of the Shadow
Rating and Warnings-- G; no warnings.
Species and Characters-- Species of choice is kassiger--characters (all male) are Aryk, Jikire, and Ruhtela. A low-slung hexapod, kassigers are fairly feline in build with powerful hindmost legs, toned but strong-looking medial legs, and leonine forelegs with elongated toes. They have long, powerful tails that split into four leathery tentacles where their soft, thick fur ends, and their heads are undeniably serpentine and broad with feline eyes and a reasonably long neck, two ram-like horns spiralling outwards from the temples. They're immensely powerful and the leaner ones are incredibly fast. Something of a shadowy chameleon, Kassigers seem like black ghosts; they can mimick their surroundings so that their heavy frames seem darkly transparent. Non-furred body parts are simply dark colors, bereft of this color-changing ability. 6-7.5 feet at the first shoulder.
Summary and Notes-- Written as a part of
daily15 to both prompt 86 and prompt 87... I couldn't resist putting them together. :D (That and I'm trying desperately to catch up on prompts. ^^;;;) About 14 minutes for 553 words. And as for summary... well, I just wanted to play with mah kassigers. And also work out some plot kinks. Muah. XD. Oh, and kassigers are also residents of Jémit, though they live on a different main continent than the zsoni'hala of my previous post.
( His voice was like thunder--his eyes flashed like lightning against the night--and his body was like the stormclouds, dark and foreboding and not entirely solid... )
Mwah. I <3 kassigers.

Title-- Foreshadows in the Sun

Species and Characters-- Species are humans and zsoni, which are small dragon-like beasties, in the world of Jémit. Specific characters are Yilosi Kladdin, a zsoni'hala ('hala=rider), his silver zsoni Quickwind, and Blacker, a high-ranking 'hala whom I absolutely adore.

daily15 to both prompt 81 and prompt 82 because they go so well together. *smirk* (Wow I'm behind on the prompts. >,<) Just about 15 minutes for the 714 words. I wrote this after browsing the under-construction site (which is where "Jémit" leads) that
gileonnen and I made in preparation for working on that world in-depth via stories/a novel. Although we've left it lie in favor of Denaith and its werewolves, I'm still madly in love with the cultures and creatures on Jémit. So I figured I'd use them in a prompt. Muah. XD.
( A mercury-silver beast plummeted from the sky, long wings swept back to its gleaming flanks, slender limbs tucked close to its supple body... )
Ahh, it's so good to write zsoni'hala again. *squee*
