Well, if I count all the half-starts and wrong-directions and other stuff that will later be totally cut from my novel... and I am counting it, 'cause I did write it and I'm not editing until well after November...

(However, I hope to write enough anyways that I don't have to count the stuff that'll undoubtably be deleted later. Laggers can't be choosers, but... still. It's a -real- win if I don't have to delete several thousand words to make it into a shiny rough draft. I'll try...)

Rating and Warnings-- PG; warnings for grief.
Species and Characters-- Just humans this time - President Kevyen and his mother, Witch Eyvi.
Summary and Notes-- The first chapter (prologue is here). This establishes that there is no 'bad guy' in any of the four races on Ykinde, despite the odds at which they find themselves with each other. Also, writing this made me cry like a baby. -_-;;

Summary and Notes-- The prologue to the first of three Pantheran novels. This introduces the Walker tribe, and the humans who mean to capture and enslave them.
